The Seagrass Ecology & Physiology Research Group was established in 2013 under the leadership of Professor Mats Björk and Associate Professor Martin Gullström to focus on research in the area of seagrass physiology and ecology.
Our research is carried out through the Department of Ecology, Environment and Plants Sciences (merged from the Dep. of Systems Ecology and Dep. of Botany) at Stockholm University, Sweden.
Our interests include marine primary productivity, seascape ecology, carbon sequestration, climate change impacts, seagrass faunal communities and marine conservation.
